Privacy Policy

This page explains, in plain terms, what happens (and doesn't happen) to the information you type into a Family Support Calc tool, and what we collect about site visits in general.

Effective date: July 18, 2026.

The short version

The income, custody, and personal figures you type into a calculator on this site never leave your browser. There is no server-side processing of that data, no database it's written to, and no way for us to see what you entered. Separately, we use cookieless, aggregate analytics to understand traffic to the site as a whole — not what any individual visitor typed into a form.

Calculator inputs: not collected, not transmitted

Every calculator on Family Support Calc — including the Florida child support calculator — runs its math entirely client-side, in JavaScript, inside your own browser. When you enter income figures, overnight counts, or any other value into a calculator field and click "Calculate," that computation happens on your device. Nothing is sent to our servers, no third party, and no analytics tool.

Practically, this means:

Site analytics

We use Umami, a privacy-focused, cookieless analytics service, to understand aggregate site traffic — which pages are visited, how many people visit, and general geographic and referral trends. Umami does not use cookies and does not track individuals across websites.

What's collectedWhat's not collected
Page URL visitedCalculator input values
Referrer (which site sent you here)Name, email, or other direct identifiers
Approximate country/region, browser, device typeCross-site tracking cookies
Aggregate visit countsPrecise location (GPS-level)

Analytics data is processed in the United States (Umami Cloud, U.S. data region).

Cookies

This site does not use tracking or advertising cookies of its own. If and when display advertising is added to the site, the ad network we use may itself set cookies to serve and measure ads — that section of this policy will be expanded to name the specific network and link to its own privacy disclosures before any ad-related cookies go live.

Third-party links

Calculator pages link out to official government sources (state statutes, court forms) and, where relevant, to official state child support or alimony calculators. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which this policy doesn't cover.

Children's privacy

This site is intended for adults researching family law topics and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If our data practices change — for example, when advertising is added, or if a future tool requires server-side processing — we'll update this page and revise the effective date above.
