Terms of Service

By using Family Support Calc, you agree to the terms below. They're written in plain language on purpose — read them before using a calculator. Effective date: July 18, 2026.

1

Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using familysupportcalc.com (the "Site") and any calculator, article, or tool on it (the "Services"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, don't use the Site.

2

What the Services are

The Services provide free, self-service, educational calculators that estimate figures such as child support or alimony under published state guidelines. Results are estimates for informational purposes and are generated automatically based on the numbers you enter.

3

No legal, financial, or professional advice

Nothing on this Site — including calculator results, worked examples, FAQ answers, or article content — constitutes legal advice, financial advice, or any other professional advice. Using the Site does not create an attorney-client relationship, a fiduciary relationship, or any other professional relationship between you and Family Support Calc, its editorial team, or any contributor. Always consult a licensed attorney in your state for advice specific to your situation.

4

No guarantee of accuracy or outcome

We source and test each calculator's formula against official statutes and worksheets, and we disclose known limitations on each tool's page. Even so, guideline schedules change, courts can deviate from guideline amounts, and every case has facts a general calculator can't account for. We do not guarantee that any calculator result matches what a court would order in your case, and we are not liable for decisions made in reliance on a calculator result.

5

Your responsibilities

You agree to use the Services only for lawful purposes, not to attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer for malicious purposes, or overload the Site's infrastructure, and not to misrepresent a calculator's estimate as an official court determination or legal document.

6

Intellectual property

The Site's design, original text, calculator interfaces, and underlying code are owned by Family Support Calc or its licensors and are protected by copyright. Statutory text, official guideline schedules, and government forms we cite remain in the public domain or belong to their respective government sources. You may link to and reference this Site's pages; you may not copy or republish substantial portions of its content or code without permission.

7

Third-party links

Calculator and article pages link to official government sources and, where relevant, official state calculators or other third-party resources. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content, accuracy, or availability.

8

Advertising

The Site may display third-party advertising (for example, through Google AdSense) to support free access to the Services. Ad content is served by the ad network and is not independently reviewed or endorsed by Family Support Calc.

9

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Family Support Calc and its editorial team are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Services — including damages related to reliance on a calculator's estimate. The Services are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

10

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time, particularly as new tools are added or advertising changes. Continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised Terms. We'll update the effective date above whenever a material change is made.

11

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute relating to these Terms or the Site will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Wyoming.
